Oh Moon!
Oh Moon!
Both you and I
Have the same Lord
We share the same light
Tell me, why it is then
That you manage to stay faithful
Always, where as I
Jump from orbit to orbit
Trespassing knowingly
The bounds set before me
Only to find myself hurting
In the same black hole of grief
And remorse, each time?
Oh Moon!
Both you and I
Subsist on borrowed light
Blemished by time and age, we
Project ourselves with grace
And continue our journeys, alone
There is so much we have in common
And yet you’re radiant and peaceful
Always, where as I
Inconsistent as I am
Fear that I may end up
Being just another shooting star
In this canvas of black and bright
Oh Moon!
Full Moon!
