Let’s go
Let’s begin the New Year 2011 with the opening of the full moon blog. A true innovation to the full moon pages.
For everyone, who is not quite sure what a blog is, let’s say it is a kind of an Internet diary. The word »blog« is an abbreviation of »weblog«, which again derives from »web« (for Internet) and »logbook«, a term used in maritime shipping for recording daily events. Interestingly enough, it is mentioned in WIKIPEDIA that logbooks are of great importance in legal cases involving maritime commercial disputes, and therefore mandatory to be kept and not on a voluntary basis. As blogger (name of someone who writes in a blog), we certainly would not keep this rule, but encourage spontaneous participation and think it should be fun, and whenever possible, we will establish a connection to the full moon.
Incidentally, all articles can also be commented on. Therefore, everyone has the opportunity to enhance the landscape of words through comments and replies.
We wish all readers lots of fun and one or the other refreshing moment!
P.S. The photo shows an antique sextant, that we came across at some point in time.
A reader from the past/future! Just wanting to leave a message of thanks and amazement. Thanks for people like you, who take the time out of their busy days, to keep us all informed and fascinated by a celestial body so close to our hearts, minds, & bodies.
Amazed that there is never a shortage of words & wonder to declare about the Moon. Our great sister in the sky above!
Blessings!
Obviously
It is a Great web site!!!!
hi guys, how are you doing on the moon diary.
Hello Everyone!!!
I am so hopeful for the new year of the Hare!!! After the Tiger finally goes (*too many issues and drama!) I know I can use a break… 😉
Thank you Jörg & Pat for the great update on the Moon times! 😀 This is very helpful to many I am sure.
The exact time of the next full moon is:
Friday * 18th February 2011 * 12:35:42 am (PST) = LOS ANGELES (*me!)
I was hoping to do some art for the site. Please let me know where you prefer it sent! (*or uploaded).
Blessings to all!
Ariana
Dear Ariana, Thank you for your comment and offer to contribute. We are planning in the future to open a specific category for art. Meanwhile, you are certainly welcome to send anything you find suitable for full moon to us via e-mail.
A “fine and subtle” webpage indeed! Beautiful pages, beautiful content and, no doubt, beautiful people.
We have recently opened a holistic therapy and mind, body & spirit centre in Great Yarmouth (England) and are holding a small blessing ceremony for our venture tonight. It is wonderful to know that so many good people around the world will be looking at the full moon, and sending their energies out to the universe.
I didn’t realise it was Wolf Moon … though it might explain why I suddenly decided I had to wear my wolf totem necklace today!
love and light to all on this page, and its creators,
Just found your blog. I live in Kingston Ontario and have been watching the moon for the last few nights as it waxes to full Wolf Moon. Since it will be overcast or snowing here, I will probably miss her, but I like knowing others follow her too.
Blessings Jorg, Pat and all here!
I am in the pacific United States, and I get the “Full Moon Update” which is so informative. I have one question/request. Last month especially I was off on my calculations for the eclipse, because I was thinking in “Central European Time”. I finally figured out the time, but thought perhaps you might consider a small update for those in other time zones (*perhaps a small conversion chart of those times here on site)? To help others like myself. I would value that as I am sure others would too.
I love visiting, so I need no prompt to get me here! 🙂 But it also might promote a little bit more participation in the blog and other activites!
Walk with the Goddess…
Ariana
Dear Ariana – thank you for your lovely comment and the suggestion about the time zones. We are already working on that! Coming soon 😉
Happy New Year and thank you for a beautiful addition to the “information” highway. By the way, if there are any Feng Shui practitioners out there, Wednesday is the last full moon before Chinese New Year on February 4th. So if you have items that need to be cleansed before placement in the new year, this is the time to set them out and let this wonderful satellite works it’s lunar magic.
I was searching for the full moon schedule for 2011 via google and came across your impressive webpage. I won’t ramble on since Bill Lloyd already succinctly summed up all that needs to be said. I look forward to reading the information and photos you’ll share in the future.
p.s. I’m sometimes featured in art with the full moon, feel free to use one of these if you ever find it suits your blog needs:

Psyched for the first full moon of the year in a few days! 🙂
Congratulations to you both for this fine and subtle web site. It is well conceived, well designed, and well presented, with lovely attention to detail – a perfect balance of Romance, Magic, and Science – that balance which makes us human.
Very best wishes to the site, and thanks to you personally for an inspiring project …
I have posted a poem by Mathew Arnold which catches the mood …
What a nice comment to read. Thank you for all that positive feedback!
